Jason and Courtney Cook
Jason Cook is a seasoned pastor, speaker, and former collegiate athlete with a deep passion for discipleship, hospitality, and multi-ethnic ministry. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Jason later moved to Suwanee, Georgia, where he graduated from North Gwinnett High School. He went on to attend the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) on a football scholarship, becoming a four-year starter and letter winner at fullback.
Though Jason came to faith in Christ at a young age, it was during his sophomore year at Ole Miss that he began walking faithfully with Jesus. After a brief pre-season stint with the Baltimore Ravens in 2009, Jason embraced his call to full-time ministry.
Jason has played a vital role in planting and nurturing multi-ethnic churches throughout the South. He was instrumental in the founding of Iron City Church in Birmingham, AL, and spent five years serving at Fellowship Memphis in Tennessee. His ministry experience spans four major Southern cities central to the Civil Rights movement, and in each, he has contributed to advancing multi-ethnic church movements.
He holds a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School, where he also serves on the Advisory Board. It was during his time at Beeson that he met and married his wife, Courtney. Together, they have four children: Charlie, Cager, Boss, and Bishop.
Today, Jason serves as the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Georgia, where he and his family continue to live out their calling to discipleship, hospitality, and service.
